Financial Growth
Biblical prosperity means that we are blessed in order to bring glory to God and be a blessing to others. It does not necessarily mean being rich (though at times it includes that). The Bible shows that in general it is God’s desire for His people to grow in their finances. However, even if God desires it, it does not always happen for one reason or another. We seek to use money to serve God, not use God to serve money. God has given a number of principles concerning how His people can prosper financially. It is through following these principles that people are blessed. The principles which we will discuss in this section are: • Giving • Integrity • Hard work • Saving • Budgeting • Avoiding debt • Trusting God Following these principles will not guarantee that you will become rich. If you see someone struggling with their finances, do not assume that is because they are doing something wrong. However, in general following these will lead to growth and stability in time if you are faithful to God.
